What is an AG?

AG stands for Army Group and is like an alliance or clan in other games. An AG is run by players of the community, and costs per year to run. The fee helps towards server costs and general running of the game. An AG consists of the CO, XO and 6 Company COs with the players separated into each of these 6 companies. AGs compete against each other, in “AG Games” to win the AG standings of a month. An AG must play 100 games a month to be classed as active. If an AG fails to reach 100 games in 1 month then they are put on probation. An AG also must have 10 active players with 20 AG games played each for that month. If you leave your AG, the games you have played for your “old” AG are not carried over, when joining a new AG you must wait 7 days before you are able to play in AG games.

Creating/Running an AG

If you are considering making an application to run your own AG it is strongly recommended you discuss it with staff (gold stars next to their name) and the other AG COs privately first. They will instruct you on what to do.

How do I join an AG?

You will probably be first approached by a player of an AG asking you to join. Each AG is different with respects to its rules, player base, and acceptance policies. The best thing would be to do research on the different AGs by talking with its players. Once you have chosen an AG, simply notify a member of the AG (preferably an Officer) and apply.

For complete instructions (with pictures) on how to apply for an AG, see How to join an AG

What are the benefits of being in an AG?

An AG is like a community, A variety of players come together to form an AG, The AG is lead by a CO and a XO, From there, there are six company Co's who have the rank of lieutenant or above depending on how that AG has performed. An AG is more than a community, It is also a team effort, to work together to win the Number 1 spot on the AG Standings. AG games will build your skill and logic, as every game you play will be against advanced players, Playing these advanced players will toughen you up more and eventually, You will be as good as them.

Your CO or XO may decide to give you a company, You may have performed well in AG games or shown capability at recruiting and training new players. Once you become a Company CO Your rank will be promoted to 2nd Lieutenant or above depending on how many actives and where the AG was placed in the standings the previous month. Being a comapny CO means that you are able to accept new members to your company, This also means that you will be more likely to plan more often due to your rank, (please see the How To Plan section in the community portal).

Who do I contact in an AG?

If you wish to join an AG you may want to know what that AG is like, you can ask some of the members or the officers, If you are not sure how to join there are "Newbie Helpers" or MPs Located in the lobby, You can join the channel full of them in the chat server (the new players channel), Or you can PM them (Personal message) by locating the people with a Blue or Red Star next to their name.

Once you have decided on the AG to join go through the step by step instructions on "How to join an AG" section
