Maps
From CoCWiki
Maps are the playing fields available for gameplay in Call of Combat. These maps can be created by anyone, and are rotated in-and out- of usage every few months.

Map Types
One Sided
The term 'One Sided Map' means that the map gives an above average advantage to one team over the other. This can be because of weapons, strategic VP locations, or even buildings. These maps are generally considered to be the best in Call of Combat, as they provide a layer of skill for each team to dissect.
Even
Even maps are generally symmetrical, and thus give no advantage to either team.
While there has been praise for Even maps in the past, it is now believed that they are inferior to One-Sided maps, as Even maps usually end in stalemates, or with one team being forced to rush.

Map Size
We are looking for maps in a variety of sizes (30 x 30 and up) whereby the size of your map will determine its suitability for different game types. More specifically for open games (70 x 70) - (100 x 100) would be sufficient, although bear in mind you do not have to completely fill the alloted space with buildings... leave room for flanking space.
Map Layout
Call of Combat is designed to be set in Normandy. Therefore, please attempt to create your maps to be as realistic as possible. Also, include a realistic names. Include only closed buildings, and floor them correctly with a sensible floor plan. Please do not try and create more obscure structures (such as trucks, tanks, and giraffes) out of walls or floor textures.
- In general think out how your map will be played; which side would reach which VP first, where would the most action be and is there sufficient / too much cover in these areas?
- Limit the number of VP areas to less than 5. The objective of the game should be to defend the VP or over take opponents and capture the VP.
P points must total to 100 for the entire map.
- Name your mission accordingly. Your mission name will be what is shown in game NOT the map name.
- Make sure the DZ's are on the map, and that the correct team's soldiers are in the drop zone.
- Name VPs appropriately ... no swearing
- Ensure you label important strategic locations. In general... more is more.
- Include roads and paths in your design.
- Add a briefing for both sides.[Be aware that the briefing for allied in map editor will end up as briefing for axis in the actual game, and vice versa]
Map Glitches
To avoid glitches make sure you follow these guidelines:
- Do NOT put anything on the border of the map.
- Do NOT have double layered walls/trees/hay.
- Do NOT have any areas which are impossible to get to. (aka making a complete loop out of walls/trees/hay with no entrances.)
- Do NOT put windows in corners.
- Do NOT put 2 windows together. Keep 2 square gap between windows.
- Do NOT join different wall types.
