I Click Join, Java Loads To 100% And The Game Room Dosn't Open

Go to CoC options (top left) and select 'Join rooms using browser', try joining with it checked and unchecked.

If this doesnt work try reading this page paying specific attention to upgrading and downgrading your java version.

How do I change my username?

You can request a name change through your Control Panel. One free namechange a year is allowed, this is granted in September. Additional namechanges can be obtained by donating at least $6. The namechange is given as a gift for this donation and is not bought.

Rules for acceptable names:

  • 3+ letters
  • No spaces
  • No & or ' allowed in it
  • Name cannot start with a hyphen (-)
  • No obviously filthy content
  • Not offensive to huge sections of the populace, not racist
  • Name can't be too similar to staff, MP's, AG CO/XO's or "famous" players
  • Can't be in use already

Java loads to 69% and the box disappears

Occasionally Java version 1.6 isn't compatible with CoC, especially if you are running Windows Vista. You can check your java version by going to 'Help' then 'About' in the lobby. If you have 1.6 java then you may need to download 1.5.0_15 java and downgrade by following the instructions in this link: How To Downgrade Your Java.

How do I use the lobby?

In the bottom left hand corner of the lobby there is a '?' click it for basic information, for a more detailed guide follow this: Lobby Guide

I Forgot My Password!

Firstly go to your control panel on the website and use the lost password function. This should send an email to your registered email account, if you cant find this email in your inbox please check your junk mail. If this doesnt work contact an MP within the lobby (if you can't enter the lobby E-mail MP@callofcombat.com) and ask them to reset your password. You can then enter your control panel, sign in with your new password and then go down to 'Change Profile' to change your password/any other information. This must be done immediatly after your password is changed for you to secure your account.

I Can't Use The Forums!/How do I Link My Forum Account?

If for some reason you cannot log into your forum account, you may need to go to log into your Control Panel and go down to 'Link Your Forum Name'. Enter your username and password and this will Link the 2 accounts making your forum name the same as your current username.

Also if you never linked your forum account, changed your name and now wish to change your name back to your 1st name then you will need to link your forum account (making it your current name)THEN link the forum account AGAIN to make it your new name. I hope you can understand that :).

If you have your forum account and your game account linked and you still can't log in, try using the name and password you first signed up with, and any variations of this there may have been at the time of linking the accounts.

I've Been Banned!

If your account has been banned you will receive an email through the email you signed up with/is currently in your Control Panel Profile. If you dont immediatly find this email in your inbox please check your junk email. E-mail any questions to MP@callofcombat.com (nicely please :)) and look over the rules of the Code Of Conduct. You may also want to see your disciplinery status by going to your Control Panel.

How Can I Create/Submit A Map?

A step by step guide to creating a map:

  • Next it's VERY IMPORTANT that before creating your map you look over the Map Guidelines

  • Finally to submit your map email it to callofcombat@gmail.com. IMPORTANT : Ensure that you send your files in ZIP format, including both map and mission file. Also make sure you include the word 'map' in the email title otherwise we will not receive it.
  • If you have any more queries on mapmaking or you'd like an opinion from the community on your map simply make a post in the Map Submissions & Creations Forum.

How do I gain ranks?

After each game, PPs (promotion points) are awarded to those who survived. You can click Help > Ranks to see how many pps each rank requires. Or see Ranks and PPs for more information.

You may see players with officer ranks, You can only obtain these through your AG, Only the CO or XO can give you a company. If your not in an AG go to the AG page and find out how to join from there.
